Assisting independent workshops
Blackfern Co-Operative was created to assist independent workshops within New Zealand with collective solutions for marketing, technology, and business facilitation. We are also addressing future challenges the automotive industry faces in an ever-changing consumer landscape.
The Blackfern model was developed by a working panel held in the Wairarapa in August 2014, where the tick of approval to proceed was given.
The Blackfern name, constitution, and principles were ratified and a "member director" was voted onto the board. Blackfern has grown from strength to strength and now comprises of over 900 members, engaging businesses from all over New Zealand.
As a co-operative business, Blackfern Co-Operative operates under the seven international principles of cooperation.
Benefit from one account to access a wide range of both national and regional suppliers.
An invoice is provided from the supplier and Blackfern provides a simple easy to read statement. Credits and claims are handled in the normal manner. You control your account.
As a supplier you can sell your specialist skills to other members. For example, if you are an auto-electrician, tyre shop, or engine reconditioner, Blackfern will empower you through our web site to streamline and grow your business within the industry.
You receive early payment PLUS you are rewarding your customers for supporting you. No more compiling or posting statements. Just provide an invoice with the goods or service.
You don't even need to be a member to be a supplier.
